Hi,

I have searched through the posts but I am still scratching my head on a couple of things:

I am taking mom and sis for the day (this week) (arrive at 7 AM and depart 8:45 PM) via NW and I want to take the metro from the DCA to the mall. We plan to just see the mall, and quik trip into national archives (and if we are really on schedule just want to walk by and catch a glimpse of the White House if we can).

Is this plan a set up for failure?

It looks like the orange line to the mall. What is the best place to start our walking tour and what metro exit accomplishes this?

How are the security lines at DCA for our departure, when should we catch the metro back to DCA? Will my elite (gold) status speed things thru?

Lunch ideas?
