My big gripe with TG - not using contact gates at Suvarnabhumi

For the most part, I've been happy with TG. But today I lodged a complaint after I arrived on a domestic flight, with lots of gates not being used, but they parked the aircraft remotely and bused us to the terminal. It took a full 25 minutes from landing the aircraft till arrival at the terminal, most of that time spent standing on the bus, waiting for it to fill up, with the hot sun beating in through the windows, and with very little airconditioning on the bus. I let the THAI flight manager at Suvarnabhumi know that I found this to be totally unacceptable being that I've read numerous reports of this happening to other people as well. The flight manager apologized for the inconvenience and said they expect to have the problem worked out within a couple months and that it was a problem with the airport facilities. She seemed to say that it was an equipment problem, but then backed away and said she wasn't sure exactly what the problem was. I let her know that I fully expected THAI to be sure they work out this problem very quickly as I pay extra to fly THAI compared to Nok Air or another LCC and expect a higher level of service and convenience for paying a higher price.

On a previous incoming flight it took a good 5 minutes after arriving at the gate before they opened the door, and I've seen lots of other reports of it taking up to 10 minutes. So my guess is that there's either some equipment problem, or staffing problem and they're not able to use all of the gates like they want to.

I've been on 5 THAI flights so far into or out of Suvarnabhumi since it's official opening and this was the first time I was bused.
