Same for me. I accrued some 450k status miles within a year after joining M&M. This is mostly b/c LH has

a.) the most generous minimum miles rule of any FF program I know
b.) M&M really honors if you fly F or Biz (300-375 % / 200 - 350 %) with status miles
c.) M&M "double miles promos" (or similar) often count for status as well (best single segment: 34830 miles for LAX - FRA in July / 300 % F + double miles)
d.) any combination of a.) thru c.) gets you status miles faster than any other FF program

Since I earn my miles that fast, I don't really care that LH's award scheme seems some how more "expensive" than others

BTW I would not have hit 1K with MP with the very same trips (except of course with the lowered limit of 2000)
