i have to say that this forum is giving isla verde a realy bum rap, while it may not have a crystal clear ocean and it's still as a lake i find it to be one of the nicest pieces of beach on the island. You can hang out at the many hotels along the beach, (i.e. the intercontinental, the el san juan, the ritx carlton) all top hotels. Or you can head into old sna juan at night- short taxi ride- and experience some first class nightlife. Also its nice to go one day on a catamaran to icacos. My favorite company by far is eastwind. They pick you up in the morning take you to fajardo and ou go on the boat for a fun day of snorkinling and relaxing. You can also do something similar to that on a boat to culebra where you can see the world famous flamingo beach.
