I am primarily Citibank card holder and my wife has her own but under my account. (family member card) Both of us has enough miles to claim award tickets. Yesterday I called AA to claim 3 award tickets with her Advantage miles because I did not want to use mines this time. Today I found on AA.com that AA deducted miles from my Advantage account even though I didn’t tell my Advantage account number. Doesn’t it work as I expect? Anybody knows the rule?
