My son (now 15 and no longer flying as an UM) flew on CO as a UM internationally, but only on direct flights. I think the airlines take UM flights very seriously and it should be fine as long as the kids are comfortable flying alone. If they've made the flight before, they know what to expect and it shouldn't be a problem for them.
