Thumbs down Aghhh! Sydney converts free stay to paid stay without notice

^ Logged in to my Priority Club Account today and discovered that I was 60,000 points better off than the day before.

Checked my reservation for IC Sydney in November and found that it had been converted to a paid stay at some bizarre 'default rate' which does not bear any resemblance to the best rate on the web.

Called UK reservations and they confirmed that I had booked in April and that on 5 October the hotel had changed it to a paid stay. Didn't know why so I was told to call the hotel. I asked if there was anyone else who could sort it out for me, and was advised to call Priority Club Customer Service

Two members of staff later - one told me that I couldn't make award reservations on line and that was why it had been cancelled - I spoke to the US based Customer Relations who called the US. They promised to sort it out today - well it's today and nothing has happened.

I will give it until Monday before I have it out with the hotel.

Moral is, I suppose, reservations are at the discresion of the hotel.
