How is Marriott enforcing new non-smoking policy?
I was in two different Marriotts this past week and on both occasions, there was someone smoking either in the room next to me or below me. I've seen/or heard nothing new at check-in to remind folks that all Marriotts in the U.S. are now non-smoking. Two nights ago, I was at a Courtyard and went into the bathroom in the morning and it smelled like someone was in the shower smoking. I couldn't believe it.
I've stayed at Hampton Inn's in a non-smoking room where they have you sign a statement saying that if you smoke in the room, you will be charged a $200 cleaning fee.
Anyone seen or heard of Marriott enforcing this or how they are penalizing those that break the new rule? This new rule is one of the reasons why I moving almost all of my business to Marriott.
Just curious...
