I use the
del.icio.us Complete to make is simple to add a bookmark with right-click in Firefox. After reading this thread I tried the sidebar out and didn't think it was so useful to me. I'd rather ctrl-l into the address bar and type the URL to run my search on del.icio.us than pick up my hand and move to the trackpad or whatnot. Just a personal quirck.
I was using something else to synch my delicious bookmarks with my browser bookmarks but I seem to have stopped using that at some point.
