The 4 times promotion bonus (in paid business only) is in fact 'just' a doubling of the 'normal' 200% mileage credit you get in business-class anyway.

For a miles&more status flier the credits on such a promotion are 250% status miles and 450% 'basic' miles.

I doubt very much (but I don't know for sure) , that miles&more really will credit those 'extra-bonus' as status miles too. Whenever LH had special promotions on special routings (like when SQ joined StarAlliance), the extra-bonus didn't count as status then either.

The Zurich-Australia business class bonus (4 x basic miles) is time-limited until jan-31-2001 and probably targeted for Swiss costumers only.
