Tuesday evening I got stuck overnight at ORD along with, I'm sure, thousands of others because lightning had caused the ramps to close for several hours. This was my first weather-related overnight as a 1K, and I'd heard rumors that UA would do a little extra for 1Ks in that type of situation. However, I was told there was nothing special UA could do for me (e.g., no UA-paid for room, no help finding a room beyond what was on the pink slip, etc.). Should I have pushed harder or was I getting the straight scoop?
