Turn Your Hotel Points Into Miles, and Earn MQMs
Hi,
I got this promotion on 6/16/06.
Turn Your Hotel Points Into Miles, and Earn MQMs
Hello Mr. jml1124,
As an added benefit of the SkyMiles program, you may convert your hotel points to miles and earn Award Travel even faster. And, for a limited time, we'll reward you with Medallion Qualification Miles (MQM), putting that next level of Medallion Status® even closer to your reach.
From June 15th through August 15th, you'll earn bonus MQMs based on the number of points-to-miles you transfer from any of our participating hotel partners.
# of miles earned MQM bonus
1 to 9,999 1,000
10,000 to 24,999 1,500
25,000 and higher 2,500
Be sure to register for this bonus at delta.com/hotelbonus, then transfer your hotel points to miles. We've provided transfer guidelines, as well as contact information so you can begin transferring your points.
I tried to register for it, and there was an error.
On 06/23/06, I got another email from Delta,
Due to technical difficulties with our system, many valued customers like you were unable to enroll in our exclusive hotel transfer bonus offer. We have resolved these issues and have successfully enrolled anyone that may have been adversely affected by this. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused and thank you for your patience.
On June 23rd, I transferred 10,000 Hilton points to my Delta account. According to my statement, I see that on July 5 there was a credit for 1000 Skymiles from Hilton for Activity on June 23. BUT, it is listed as: 23 Jun 2006 Hilton/HHonors Hotels Hotel - Reynosa, Mexico (posted on 05Jul2006) 1000 0 1000. I did not stay at a hotel in Mexico.
I contacted Delta, first by email, and was told they know nothing about this. Then by phone and they said all sounds ok, and to just wait for the MQMs to post.
It's been a while. Has anyone received the MQM bonus? I hope I get it, I only need 428 MQMs to requalify for Medallion status.
8 weeks after the end of the promotion is October 10th. So maybe then....
Advice?
Thanks.
