Let's hope you won't have to collect your luggage - but the last time I did a LIFO (SMF-DFW-CZM) they made me collect my luggage and check it in the next morning, and on a SJC-NRT-HKG-DPS flightset they made me collect my luggage in HKG for my overnight there - even though CX was able to check it through. Maybe it has to do with the AA computer system?
