To answer your question, yes you should be eligible, but they won't want to give it to you if they can't find the competing fare easily. Make sure you collect screen shots of the fare rules and the final purchase page at expedia. The fare class not matching doesn't matter, only class of service (first vs coach).

I would suggest filing your claim immediately so you still can cancel your nwa.com tickets within 24 hours if they refuse to give you the difference. They usually respond within a few hours for BFG claims.
Thanks for the info CmdrThor. ^ But now that I re-read the BRG verbage, but now I don't think it would work, since
Guarantee applies only to tickets purchased with a credit card and a United States billing address. Applies only on itineraries wholly operated and marketed by Northwest Airlines, KLM, Mesaba Aviation and Pinnacle Airlines.
There is short connection from HNL to LIH on Hawaiian, code shared with NWA. Even though that is not the reason for the higher fare on NWA.com, it would give them sufficient grounds to deny my claim.
