For 'power' users I'd recommend the latest E series phones - the E70 or E61 (E62 if you're US-based) in particular. They keyboard and screens make posting on FT more realistic, as does the WiFi potential.

I have browsed FT on my 9500 with WiFi and also GPRS. I've used old OLCI several times on GPRS...the new one (I was experimenting ex-VNO) seemed to just never complete though

The problem (on GPRS mostly) is that sites like ba.com and FT contain so much bloat, images or not. My attempt to OLCI transferred over a 1mb of data FT in particular is a pain - try saving a basic thread (e.g. this one) on a PC using the 'Complete page' option and just see how much crap is downloaded - several hundred KB. This is not helped by the stupid 'Forum Jump' list at the bottom right (has anyone ever used that rather than a bookmark or the live links at the top "FlyerTalk Forums > Miles&Points > Airline Programs > British Airways Executive Club > OT: Using a Crackberry to view FT" !?). On every page, this is just pure bloat because it's 10s of KB of plain text.
