To elaborate, currently there's no scheduled date for Jetstar to replace Qantas on the direct PER-DPS route (which will also continue on to SIN too, if you're looking to take the scenic route). Given they're currently flying 737-800's on the route it will be a big shift to change it across to a A330-200 and fill it up.
You can book Jetstar flights to DPS as well, but they'll be via SYD or MEL depending on the day, with the connecting flight to the East Coast being on Qantas. Price wise and time wise it's not a great option (unless you're looking to do a SC run, and then the Star Class flights aren't too shabby for giving decent SC's and miles in the QFF program).
