Yup, pretty stupid way to dodge the draft as well.

I am a dual nationality(Turkish/Belgian)citizen and I have been legally extending my draft.
In a couple of years I will have to go to the army, or forsake my Turkish nationality and be branded a traitor.
As a pacifist I would rather be branded a traitor then learn how to kill, alternatively those living abroad can pay the 18 month draft off and go for a 21 day stay in Turkish barracks, I am refusing to do so because I dont want to pay 8000$ that will be used for a millitary apparatus.
I do consider myself a Muslim BTW.

This guy is just an idiot.
If he wanted to get out from his draft it was real easy, he was already out of Turkish jurisdiction and inside European teritory so he should just have asked for asylum on the grounds that he is a pacifist.
Few European countries would have send him back for that.
