If there is anything left over then upgrades are processed based on Flying Blue elite level, sometimes also looking at ticket fare class. If economy is still running over and there are still seats left in business other Skyteam elites will be upgraded.
There is a new program being tested which will allow Flying Blue members to upgrade for a fee out of Schiphol and some stations (including JBO?)
Don't know if NW WP can participate.
This is a perfect resume of travelling with KL. I had it again last week from Jakarta with last minute upgrading of employees which annoyed a man in Y as he had attempted to u/g his ticket at check-in and was told he couldn't as it was overbooked - yes, by friends and relations of the crew.
Does anyone know if under the new 'system' we can book the upgrades in advance or only on the day?
