Bali may be a long way from North America or Europe, but its only 2.5hr from SIN, 3hr from KUL, 3.5hr from PER and 4.5hr from HKG.
Coming from KUL, I dont find Bali particularly warm. Ubud is not as warm as say Nusa Dua or Kuta; and the higher grounds at Bedegul and Kintamani are actually pleasantly cooling.
I do agree with you though that Bali is a beautiful island.
