As for AA vs. BA, the service on AA is worlds better, but the AA seat is correspondingly worlds better than the BA. If your sole intention is to sleep, take AA via MIA. The route is almost always Flagship Suites, you'll have acres of room and while the service isn't the best, it's good enough.
If one is suggesting going from NAS via BGI or BDA to the UK, one's grasp of Caribbean geography (and air connectivity) is somewhat less than sound
Seriously, any gains in sleep from a nicer seat would not be enough to counteract the extra time and hassle of getting to those start points.
Of course on the other hand I'm going to contradict that by saying that I hav a flight booked for next winter on BA from ATL to LGW and have to get to ATL from GCM first... but then it was at that DL fare war rate of US$998 for business class and the mileage upgrade to F was available
