I had something pretty much like that on a Spirit flight from DTW to LGA.It must been way over 100 in the cabin as it was close to 100 outside that day.

We were also told due to xxx, yyy, zzz that the a/c cant be put on until we are airborne, you guessed once airborne the Capt apologized but Yep the a/c was busted and so we had a great flight into LGA, got nothing for it, didnt ask as I swore I would NEVER fly on Spirit ever again, and I havent.

Everyone walked off it seemed as if we all had just taken a shower and for whatever reason did so in our clothes and didnt dry ourselves off.
