The Residence Inn Hughes Center "IS NOT" close to the monorail so be careful which one you are considering! It is one of those rare high rise versions. It is however a reasonable walk to the "heart" of the strip at Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd for this time of year. Both are nice but Residence only gives 5 points per dollar spent. Renaissance beds are superior and the bathrooms are great! The lounge is nice but food is poor, now that I am spoiled by international property lounges.
