I say give natto a try. Give it a go when your stomach is ready for something strong and 'musty', like aged feta cheese (breakfast may not be a good time).
EDIT TO ADD - recipes for those new to natto in posts #19 & #20

I first had it with piping hot rice, a raw egg (the residual heat in the rice should lightly scramble it), a good squirt of strong mustard, some soy sauce and shredded nori and finely chopped scallion/spring onion. Mix it all up first and then eat it.

I don't like to eat natto all the time, but I don't like to experience the aroma of truffles every day either.

But I suggest you don't try natto for the first time without the condiments. And remember that half of Japan doesn't like natto either (It's a Tokyo thing).

If you do like it, you've struck gold. It's really cheap, incredibly nutritious and very simple to prepare. Much better for you than the UK equivalent of beans on toast. (you'll find little indvidual packets of natto in the freezer section - it usually comes with a sachet of mustard)
