The section immediately behind you is regular economy (not E+) and the bulkhead seats are almost always occupied with people travelling with babies (the row 46 bulkhead in E is also an exit row so babies can not be in that row and the row 50 bulkhead is only 4 seats). When you recline your seat you are essentially on their lap. This becomes problematic on a long haul flight.

Anyone have thoughts as to why this seat is good?
I agree with your point about the baby noise but I will tell you why this can still be a good seat, for particular reasons that may be selfish to me.

1. Flying westbound (SFO-NRT, ORD-NRT, etc) I avoid jetlag by not sleeping on those flights and crashing on the NRT-SIN flights for 3 hours before I hit a real bed in SIN around 2am.

2. On flights that are not 100% full in C, these seats are most likely the ones to have an empty middle seat, and you can dump your stuff in the middle seat.

3. Legroom, seatback pocket (row 26), overhead bins

4. Wider feeling than in UD

OTOH, I am always at the UD flying back to ORD because I want to sleep and need the peace/quietness of the UD
