Well, as most folks know, getting award tickets from LP has been something of a hassle. However, one obstacle has been removed, they are now accepting credit cards for the payment of expedite fees and international taxes.

I have somewhat resigned myself to paying expedite fees when I really want a ticket soon. Actually, paying $40 or $75 doesn't bother me all to much to ensure I can use the miles. All the more so if it's an expensive business-class international ticket. I'm still not sure if the expedite fee applies per ticket or only once if you're getting more than one award reservation at the same time.

I'm paying the expedite fee this time mostly because they lost an award reservation request I made back in March for Memorial Day weekend. I failed to follow-up enough and got stuck in the situation I'm in now. Ah well...
