Yes, quite amazing that there is actually useful information on the company's website. Even more amazing that some people don't bother to look there first, or at least ask questions that seem to indicate that they haven't looked there first.

But in any event, tony098, you should know that Hertz has 2 elite levels - Five Star and President's Circle. IIRC, 5* requires 10 rentals in a calendar year (rentals, not rental days), and PC requires 40. Unfortunately I couldn't find exact info on these programs on the website, though I swear it used to be there. Here is some info that will be helpful:
https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/custo...4&CategoryID=8

Further, in addition to the regular Hertz #1 points you earn that can be used for free rentals, you'll receive a certificate for a free rental day when you qualify for 5* (which isn't actually until the year is over, in the spring when they go through everyone's accounts, but I think you can call them and get the status earlier if you've met the requirements.) And you get another free day certificate every 15 rentals thereafter.

And every so often it seems that I get a random certificate, for good measure. Not to mention Hertz Manhattan Gold, which gives a free rental day certificate for every 6 rentals in Manhattan.
