And that weekend can be anytime in the next 12 months... you just have to book it before 31st October. The other 8,000 points will then be extended for 3 years.
Good idea but it would have to be applied differently than suggested. Those awards have to be on UA/UX/Ted, nonstops, and booked online. United doesn't fly to Calgary. Those awards are valid for travel thru December 31, 2006.
