Hertz and BA Divorce
Hertz has hated FF programs for years.
They know many customers want them so they have tolerated them on and off throughout the years
This was one of the few reasons I used Hertz was for BA Miles

Changes to our partnership with Hertz
Our partnership with Hertz ends November 30, 2006. After this date, members will no longer receive BA Miles for Hertz rentals but will still be eligible to earn BA Miles and enjoy discounts on car rentals with Avis. We'll be announcing a new car rental partnership soon.
