Spot on. TCP can be entered as a seating request, ie TCP smith and brown with split seats or seated together pls dont change. However a PNR cant be TCPd once created in the system. Agents will sometimes put a comment into the PNR, however this is rarely looked into at the airport (40 000 pax a day would take a while).
