Absurd and outrageous. They will claim the extra is for postage of the magazine. That could of course be published online with no increase in cost.

I was a member and gave up when they racked up the price.

Well, if you are mainly joining for the discounts, and do not want the magazine, just put the address of a US based friend who can forward the card to you (and doesn't mind throwing out the magazine for you).
