Please don't tell me this should be in the "Credit Card" forum. I don't monitor that forum... do you?

I just recently upgraded my Chase Marriott Reward (basic) Visa to the Premier so that I would get the 15 nights credit this year. (I was going to miss platinum elite by about 12 nights.)

Anyway, here is my question...

Can anyone that has dones this same upgrade confirm that:
1) I will or will not be charged the annual fee. (I am still in my 1st "free" year of the original visa.)

2) If I DON'T get charged the new annual fee until next year... will I still receive the 15 nights this year?!?
