I've done them in both summer and winter. As well as GST/JNU. Clouds can be a factor either way. Clear, it was interesting winter or summer. Everyone probably has their own JNU approach/landing stories. Not my favorite mid-winter, but one three-attempt mid-summer approach scared a fair number of the non-Alaskan pax.
