I was just there recently and was unable to get a multi-day ticket. I went in the evening and stayed until it closed at 6. It was spectacular, but I decided against getting up early the next morning to see it again, even though I had planned to. It wasn't a money issue; I was just too worn out to get up that early. I do have a nice photo of the Taj taken from somewhere else (maybe the Red Fort?) but I strongly recommend seeing it up close. I've seen a zillion photos but seeing it up close took my breath away.
