You need to re-read what I posted. I didn't say I loved being thought of as police or FBI, I love the idea that people are confounded that the average, every-day Joe has the freedom and ability to exercise a right. Hopefully, it'll get driven into them enough that they get over it. It has nothing to do with feeling important - I'd rather it just not be a big deal. I'd much rather just have the ability to go on my flight, unnoticed. I'm doing my part to make it an everyday, nobody cares type of situation - and I enjoy that I'm, maybe, helping to make a small difference. That is quite the opposite of your conclusion.
I'm all for wanting to make a difference and a change, but I'm not sure the front-liners are the right target.
It's called a front line for a reason, you know. They're always the first targets, and often the only target because any others behind them are obscured - by the front line! Keep doing whatever it is you're doing until that "front-line" is gone - if it war, you keep shooting, if it's the TSA, you keep complaining, if it's icing, you keep eating (and then stop, because the cake part isn't as scrumptious) etc etc etc.
