3 obvious 'downgrades':
- new redemption levels starting Oct. 1, 2001, with the comment <<For your added convenience, a grace period will be in effect until March 31, 2002>>. Does anybody know what this grace period means? Awards booked before 10/1/01 but used before 3/31/02 qualify under the old levels perhaps?
- discounted economy fares only earn 70% of flown mileage

- newfound differentiation between Korea and the rest of Asia for award levels, which IMHO was one of the great benefits of SkyPass over all the other Asian carriers
Certainly the economic downturn in ROK is not helping its bottom line but, along with the discontinuation of the Amex MR program, I don't see how these rather drastic measures will enhance SkyPass' appeal in overseas markets.
Maybe KE just needs to make room in C for all the DL Skymiles flyers redeeming the miles they cannot cash in on Delta, at the expense of its own FF's...
