Very easy! Keep your AA account on the booking and use your QF account to make the booking request. Remember it is the status of the account making the upgrade request rather than the account receiving the upgrade which takes precedence in deciding upgrades.
For example, I recently upgraded my partner who is an AA EXP using my QF points to upgrade a long haul QF sector. My partner’s AA account was obviously still registered on the booking so that the relevant points were credited to his AA account.
He received the upgrade to J and was at the top of the list due to my WP status and he still received the usual points on his AA account (he only just recently received a QF account courtesy of my PG status to use on US domestic services).
The moral of the story is that you don’t have to keep your QF number in a booking on a QF sector which you are upgrading.
