Correct. M stands for "mixed configuration", i.e. a 747-400SCD (side cargo door), also known as a Combi.

WBC is identical, as are the Select Seating cabin and forward Y cabin. The aft section is of course a cargo hold.

77 is indeed a good seat, but you need to be ticketed in C class to get it, unless you are the lucky recipient of an operational upgrade.
In Y, I would personally prefer 9C, 11D, 21C or 21H.
