That supervisor needs to learn the SOP. There is nothing that says a container needs to have the manufacturer's label. The only situation I can see prohibiting an unlabelled container is when it alarms the ETD with a "strong hit" for explosives. It that case, it only makes sense to prohibit it. In all other cases, it does not.
Bart - if we're faced with a situation like this, what do you suggest we do to get this resolved while at the screening point and with our stuff? Who do we ask for, can we mention something for them to look at specifically, etc? For this scenario, could we ask them to show us where it says the container can't be un-labelled or will they tell us there is nothing or its SSI?
