Both of them now have the new seats, barring the infamous TG swaps. But LHR and FRA and all but guaranteed the new stuff nowadays.

Going back to the original question, I prefer TG911. The main reason as you point out is the day flight to enjoy F. I also find this has been generally quieter than TG917 up front. I am taking TG917 in a few weeks but only as I need to be in work that day.

I agree the 7am arrival is a bit of a pain (particularly if you've not had much sleep and been tempted by the drinks they leave out for you to help yourself.. ) but I think it's worth it.
