I'm flying delta next week and I need to take my guitar on a trip to Europe with me.
I don't want to check it as I'm afraid it will get damaged. I have 4 connections and don't want it to get tossed around.

I wanted to see if there is any way I could take it with me on board?

I called the Medallion desk and read at delta.com that the only way to do it is to buy an extra seat for it or to check it in.


My wife flew last week and she says she was 100% she saw somebody on board with a guitar in a case and the flight attendent kept it for the passenger.


Has anyone seen anyone carring a normal size guitar in a hardshell case on board?

Can I find a way to bring it on board without buying an extra seat?
