Most of the TSO supers don't know it is there though and wouldn't believe you if you told them. Being a diabetic, I do know that it is there and why diabetics should not take off their shoes. Too bad that TSA training is so inept that this information doesn't get communicated to the field - maybe Bart will change that if the rumors are true -(especially to the people at EWR).
