I've run the past three days, and tonight's track workout was a tad sluggish because of it.
Did just under 14 miles on Sunday in warm conditions near Orlando, FL.
Ran 6.1 miles last night at 7:44 pace with some rolling hills - we were hauling tail and it was all I could do to finish that one. But it was such a perfect night and I was feeling strong, so I hit that run hard knowing that I might be tired today.
So...to the track today...I did a couple of 400's, then 4 800's, a 1200, two more 800's, and a cooldown. I wanted to tack a couple of 400's on the end, but I was thoroughly gassed after the last 800 and I knew pushing it any further probably wasn't a good idea. The early/middle part of the workout was solid, with times consistent with what I've been doing, but I faded late. I need a couple days' rest.
This weekend is another 20. Thankfully, this season my long runs have all been pretty strong. Forecast calls for low 50's on Saturday. Sweet. ^
