The current agreement (last amendment was Oct 5, 2005) allows only 5 codesharing arrangements between US and third country airlines. In addition, only one intermediate point may be used per codeshare agreement. Each of the 5 can have a maximum of 14 weekly frequencies (daily roundtrips). That's extrmely restirctive...
