If you upgrade after check in, then you must present your upgrade certificate to a CSR at the airport.
I checked into my flight last Sunday (going last Monday). After checkin, I decided to spend a 500'er miler on an upgrade. In My Intinaries I could see that the Upgrade has cleared. However, I could check in again.
I clicked "cancel my online check-in" and then check-in again. Still no way to proceed and print my F boarding card. When I arrived at the airport the Easy Chicken machines wouldn't let me check in.
I had to go to a CSR and she said first that I wasn't on the F list. She was *only* looking at the DM list, of which I definitely wasn't on. After telling her three times to check my reservation, she was able to find it. Then she said that she wanted a paper upgrade certificate from me. That's was the reason for not beeing able to check in from home or the Chicken. I told her that I wanted to use a electronic 500'er, and then she printed my boarding card.
Puh! Couldn't this have been tons easier???
