I also have never understood why AA didn't codeshare on TAM's MIA-Northeast flights. The current bilateral allows codesharing on both MIA-SSA and MIA-MAO so it must be the decision of one of the two airlines not to do so. Perhaps AA would lose some passengers to GRU, but most of the GRU-bound pax tend to stay in GRU or if they connect, they go to CNF or a city in the South.
