This new ruling will work well for:
1) those who want backup supplies in case their checked bag goes missing
2) those who want to brush their teeth and put on hand cream during long flights
3) those on short trips who want to take only a carry on.
For those on longer trips, they'll either have to buy extra (especially toothpaste) at their destination or check a bag.
I've gone over my toiletry bag and, combined with new products I bought to get around the previous rules, I should be ok for a long trip except for toothpaste (the mini tubes from airline kits are too small for a trip longer than a couple of days.) My work-around for that would be to put toothpaste into a tupperware container and into the zip loc bag. I have some 2 oz (labeled) containers tupperware made for condiments in lunches.
I'm just waiting to hear if the rules have changed for Denmark and the UK, since I need to get home still and it would be nice to have my own things on board for the long flight.
Yes, but if three or four or give people are in cahoots, it is clear that "enough" liquids could be brought aboard and combined aboard.
This is all nonsense.
