The Palace has frequently had $179/nt AAA rates. You can park at the 5th and Mission garage (no in/out privileges) for $23/day or so - exiting on the 4th St side it is a not-long walk to the Palace. If you are here during a big convention/group time, you will be hard pressed to get a reasonably-priced room.
