I've never been to Japan, but when taking evening flights I always see a lot of Japanese travelers at AMS, both for the KL and the JL flights.

Personally I wouldn't expect that many free C seats to be available for op-ups, as I figured there is sufficient premium demand for those routes. I guess I was wrong (and now have a reason to find business in Japan!)
