We knew it would be a matter of time before the MWAA at IAD finds a way to screw up the Elite Security Line at IAD. It happened yesterday 9/24 at IAD. The Elite security line stretched back to the escalators by the UA ticket counters at 4:10pm yesteday. The line crawled and it took 15 minutes to get up to the security check point. (The last four Sundays it has taken approximately 5 minutes to get through security using the Elite Lines) When I got to the front of the line I learned part of the reason was that the MWAA contractor had only one employee checking IDs for three different lines. A co-worker who got into the normal security lines beat me through security and was waiting for me on the people mover !!! Hopefully the problem will be rectified soon.
