This is going to be a difficult one for you to argue, since the websites protect themselves with pages of legalese in their terms and conditions.

Using Orbitz as an example, thier T&Cs start by saying that by purchasing from their site (even by looking at their site, actually), you agree to all their terms.

Orbitz then says that by using their site you agree to all the terms and conditions of third party (in this case the airline) with whom you are doing business.


Finally, in the airline's contract of carriage it is typically spelled out that you have to use the flight coupons in the order in which they are printed, and that you cannot buy a round trip ticket for one way travel.

Orbitz is just one example, but my guess is that all the websites have relatively standard language that protects them from just about everything.
